Berries are a great source of Vitamin C, which helps the body absorb Iron. Vitamin C is also found in citrus fruits, kiwi, broccoli, peppers and cauliflower.

The spinach in this healthy hair recipe has lots of B vitamins and Iron. B vitamins help form red blood cells, and iron helps red blood cells transport oxygen around the body. Iron deficiency, or anemia, can inhibit the transportation of oxygen to cells and, in some cases, cause hair loss.

1 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1 Tbsp. chia seeds
1/2 banana, cut into chunks
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
3-5 ice cubes

3 large chard leaves, washed well, tough stems trimmed

¼ cup walnuts
1 Tbsp. flax seed
½-1 cup water

Place the ingredients into a high-speed blender. Add enough water to chard to puree for easier blending. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to two days.
