Get your hair just right for your next party with the ultimate, chic (but super-easy) up-do: the voluminous ponytail. Follow this step-by-step how-to as Viviscal ambassador and session stylist Neil Moodie demonstrates this simple but elegant style.
Throughout August, we’re sharing four of Neil Moodie’s top hair looks, showing you how to achieve these on-trend styles quickly and easily. Every Tuesday, visit our blog to see how to use the new Viviscal Gorgeous Growth hair care line — including Densifying Shampoo, Conditioner and body-boosting Elixir, plus Conceal & Densify Volumizing Fibers — to create looks such as beach waves, the messy side braid, up-dos with elegant accessories, and a chic voluminous ponytail.
- Wash your hair and roughly blowdry using your fingers to leave it looking naturally thicker and fuller. Apply Viviscal Volumizing Fibers to the crown section-by-section for added volume
- Separate the top portion of your hair and gently backcomb the crown to create additional volume and height
- Once backcombed, gather all your hair, pull it back into a ponytail and secure with a bungee hair tie (to avoid pulling on the volume created at the crown)
- Take random sections of hair and wrap around a curling iron holding for 3-5 seconds to curl. Once finished, brush through the curls so they look tousled for the perfect ponytail
Neil’s ultimate volumizing tip: “To ensure that your hair looks as thick and as full as possible, take Viviscal Extra Strength hair growth supplements. Nourishing your hair from the inside out is the most effective way to get hair looking its healthiest.”
